Moulton travelled the short distance to high flying ON Chenecks, looking to get back to winning ways after their narrow defeat last weekend to table topping Desborough.
The game started at a quick pace, with neither team settling. Chenecks press caused a few early mistakes from Moulton, but Chenecks were unable to make the most from these situations.
Moulton were eventually made to pay from errors after a loose ball forward was intercepted by Chenecks, who released their striker passed the dog legged defensive line, who finished left footed past the Fin at the near post, in the 35th minute.
In the 40th minute the lead was doubled, when Moulton wide boy launched the ball back to the keeper, only for it to be intercepted by Chenecks. Josiah got a foot in, only for it to fall to another white shirt, who slotted home from the edge of the box.
Moulton had a big penalty shout, for handball just before half. Everyone stopped playing waiting for the whistle to go, but apparently the referee was the only one in Abington not to have seen it.
2-0 ht
After an inspired team talk, Moulton returned to the pitch, looking to get back into the game. However Chenecks dominated the terriritory, as Moulton rarely visited the opponents third, but were seeing alot more of the ball than in the first half. A free kick from Durrell and a Davide one on one, were Moulton's closest efforts. However it was Chenecks, who scored the third goal in the 85th, after their marauding full back was left to marauder to edge of the box, just as the ball fell to him. With the swing of his boot, he managed to slice it into the bottom of the net (not entirely sure he meant it, but celebrated like he did).
