Moulton Reserves looked to get back to winning ways after last week's disappointing result. This week we hosted Buckingham u23, who were slightly above Moulton in the table.
Moulton started well popping the ball around well, getting lots of joy down both flanks through Sean and Davide. After 7 mins Durrell played a threw ball for Davide, whose effort was rolling in, only to be poatched by Daniel C, who was playing his first game back after a lengthy time on the injury table.

Moulton continued to create chances and their high press was rewarded in the 17th minute as Durrell caught out the wrong footed keeper and rolled into the empty net.

Just before the end of the first half, Moulton claimed their 3rd goal in the 43rd minute, after good work by Daniel C, who teed up Durrell for his second goal of the day. This time with a fine finish from the edge of the box.

Buckingham came out strongly with a point to prove, they pressed a lot higher and made it difficult for Moulton to play out from the back. The highlight of the second half was a clattering on Thomas, resulted in handbags and yellow card for the culprit.

Moulton made a host of changes which made the game lose its flow. Buckingham had their best effort in the 88th min, after being through with only the keeper to beat, only to drag it wide. With no real clear effort on target for Moulton in the second half, the game drew to a close without a whimper.

A 3rd clean sheet in 4 games, Moulton ressies have made themselves difficult to beat and have clearly learnt the dark arts of defending.
