Moulton welcome league leaders AFC Welwyn to Brunting Road this weekend in what could be a tense affair (KO 3:00).
‘The Romans’ occupy top slot, 2 points ahead of Desborough who have a game in hand on Welwyn, while Moulton (3rd) are 4 points behind but having played a game extra. AFC Welwyn cruised to a convincing victory on Tuesday night with a 10-1 home win v Rushden & Higham. Their previous 4 league games saw 3 wins v Rothwell (H) 4-1, Raunds (H) 5-0, Desborough (A) 1-0 and a draw v Ampthill (A) 1-1. At the beginning of March they were knocked out of the Div 1 Cup in the Semi-Final by Desborough (H) 0-4.
Our game away at AFC Welwyn in September ended in a 0-4 defeat.
Saturday’s referee is Rhys Stewart who officiated two games involving Moulton in February, the win v Ampthill (H) 4-0 and the defeat v Eaton Socon (A) 2-3.
