Moulton look to banish the last two results to the back of their mind when they travel the 58 miles down to play Royston Town Reserves on Saturday (KO 3:00). Its going to be a battle of the birds, ’The Crows’ v ‘The Magpies’.

’The Crows’ currently languish in 16th slot in the league table with 20 points from their 24 games (5 wins; 5 draws; 14 defeats). Their wins have been at home against Buckingham, Stotfold, London Colney and Huntingdon, both home and away. Their last 4 games have seen defeats at the hands of Desborough 1-2 (H), Stotfold 0-1 (A), Raunds 1-2 (H) and AFC Welwyn 0-2 (A). Prior to those games they did achieve two draws, a 1-1 draw at home to Wellingborough Whitworth in January and a 0-0 draw away at Letchworth at the end of the year. Their last win was in the Division One Cup back in October when they defeated Irchester at home; last league win was away at Huntingdon (1-0), also in October.

Previous games between the two sides saw us lose both last season, when Royston were playing under the ‘U23’ guise, home 1-2 in Oct 2023 (Scorer: Nat Ansu) and away 2-3 in Feb 2024 (Scorers Dickens and Isom (debut goal on his return to Moulton playing in the Spartan League)). This season we won on the first day of the season at home 2-1 (Scorer: Ansu (2)).

Saturday’s referee is currently scheduled as Ben Bright who officiated the opening game of the season match between the two clubs and three the previous season involving Moulton.
