Moulton travel over to Buckingham on Saturday (KO 3:00) for their last game before Xmas, looking to build on their convincing win v Langford last weekend.
Buckingham currently sit in the lower half of the table, 12th with 21 points from their 16 league games (6 wins; 3 draws; 7 defeats). Their last 4 league games have seen them lose last weekend at home to Wellingborough Whitworth (1-2) and away v Stotfold Res in October (1-2) but win away at Huntingdon (2-0) and at home to Long Buckby (2-1). Their other season wins were all at home v Langford (5-1), London Colney (2-0), Raunds (2-1) and Letchworth (3-0) on the opening day of the season.
Our record against them seems to be win at home, lose away. Our first game in the Spartan League saw us win 2-0 at home in August 2022 (Scorers: Mullally, Reza) but go down 2-3 away in November 2022 (Scorers: F Boateng, Evans). Season 2023/24 was the same, a 5-0 win at home in November (Scorers: Ansu, F Boateng, C Boateng, Elmore, J Mensah) but lose away 0-3 on what was quoted as ‘A horrible night around’. This season saw us take a 4-1 home win in August (Scorers: Ansu (2), Isom, Iaciofano).
Saturday’s referee is Charles Braven who’s only other match in the centre involving Moulton was last season’s 1-1 away fixture v Leighton Town Development in April.
