After the disappointing away draw at Leighton Town Reserves on Tuesday, Moulton look to entertain London Colney at Brunting Road this Saturday (KO 3:00).
In 2022-23, ‘The Blue Boys’ finished bottom of the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division, were relegated and transferred to Division One of the Combined Counties League where they ended up in the bottom 3, relegation position (21st). The club were transferred to Division One of the Spartan South Midlands League for this season.
The Blue Boys’ currently occupy 17th position in the league with 8 points from their 13 games (Won 2; Draw 2; Defeats 9). Their last 4 games has seen them win and draw at home v Huntingdon Town (3-2); Buckingham Town (0-0) but lose away at Royston Town Res (0-6) and Buckingham (0-2). Their only other win and draw was at home v Raunds (3-1) in September and an away draw (3-3) v Stotfold in August. In relation to cup competitions, they recently were knocked out of the Hertfordshire County Cup, the Division 1 Cup at home to Leighton Town Res (2-3), the Gladwish at home to AFC Welwyn (0-2) and the FA Vase at home to Winslow United (0-1).
This will be the first game between the two clubs.
Saturday’s referee is Sam Waterhouse who last officiated games involving Moulton back in the 2022/23 season.
