No game for the First team on Saturday and they have to wait until next Tuesday 15 Oct (KO 7:45) for their first league game at home since 20 August. That last home league game saw them at the top of the league with a 6 game unbeaten start to the season. However, all was to change when they visited our Tuesday opponents, Stotfold Res, going down 1-2. Since then, apart from an away win in the Spartan League Trophy, a win has eluded the First team.
Stotfold Res ‘The Eagles’ currently occupy 13th place in the league with 11 points attained from their 10 games (3 win, 2 draw and 5 defeats). Since their win at home v Moulton on 24 August they have played 4 games losing at home to Long Buckby (1-4) and Desborough Town (1-4) but winning away at Leighton Town Res (3-2) and a draw away at Irchester Utd (1-1).
Last season ‘The Eagles” played in the Bedfordshire County League Premier Division and ended up in runner-up slot with 59 pts from 24 games played (19 wins; 2 draws; 3 defeats).
Saturday’s referee is Jack Vase, who has not officiated any matches involving Moulton in the past.
