On the back of a 1-0 win at Rushden and Higham last Tuesday, Moulton made 4 changes for the visit of Eaton Socon to Brunting Rd. Most notably leading scorer Nat Ansu who was missing through work commitments with his place being taken by Junior Musvaburi, making his first start for the club. The Magpies and MUSVABURI in particular got off to a dream start after only 3 minutes when the striker rose at the far post to head in a Jack Barnett free kick to put his side in front.
Eaton replied straight away and Jonny Vallance in the home goal saved low down at his near post. Despite being behind the visitors were on top and 3 more times Vallance had to beat away shots to keep his goal intact. Moulton responded and Archie Elmore had a chance after being put clear by Andy Hall but the keeper saved well and from the resultant corner Josh Melling headed over with Dan White seemingly in a better position.
With 10 mins of the half left Elmore intercepted a loose pass and released Musvaburi who strode on before shooting left footed just wide of the far post.

The Magpies had the first chance of the second half when Hall and Keiran Ashman combined to set up Lewis Isom but his shot flew just past a post, and the visitors replied but again Vallance was equal to the shot before 2 contentious decisions changed the course of the game.
Firstly Isom put Musvaburi clear and as he poked the ball past the keeper he appeared to be brought down but the referee waved away protests and a minute or so later, the official gave a debatable free kick to Eaton Socon and they equalised with a shot over the wall from 25 yards.
With 65 minutes gone Luca Iaciofano replaced Elmore and within 10 mins or so helped Moulton re take the lead when he received the ball in the inside right channel before turning inside and slipping in MUSVABURI who finished clinically past the on rushing keeper.
Harry Darnell replaced Hall after 74 mins and 2 minutes later it should have been 3, Isom and Musvaburi combined on the left and when the ball was pulled back Ivandro Monteiro arrived right on cue but his shot flew inches over the bar.
However a third goal did arrive 3 minutes later when Iaciofano crossed from the right MUSVABURI arrived in front of his marker and the keeper to steer the ball in at the near post to complete his hat-trick. Dylan Kelly replaced Isom with 10 minutes left and against the run of play the visitors grabbed a 2nd goal to make the last 5 minutes interesting but it was the home side who had the last chance when Darnell headed a Barnett corner over from 8 yards.
