Moulton make the 41 mile trip on Saturday to play Pitstone & Ivinghoe Utd in the depth’s of Buckinghamshire (they could actually take the London train, as the line goes passed their ground, although I don’t think they have a station). This is in the League Challenge Trophy 1st Rd.
Pitstone & Ivinghoe play in Div 2 of the Spartan South Midlands and currently occupy 3rd position in the league with a 100% record from their 4 games, scoring 9 and conceding just 3. Apart from their first game of the season v Tring (Won 1-0), they have played at home (Totternhoe (Won 2-1); Caddington (Won 4-1) and last Saturday Newport Pagnell Development (Won 2-1). On Wednesday evening (28th) they travel the relatively short distance to play Aston Clinton in the league (Game ended in a 1-1 draw)
Last season saw them finish 6th in the league gaining 56pts from their 34 games (Won 18; Drew 2; Lost 14).
Saturday’s referee is Daz Kerr who has not officiated a match involving Moulton in the past.
