Moulton FC Under 18s were in action on Thursday last when the entertained Peterborough Utd Under 18s in the NFA David Joyce KO CUP at Brunting Rd, having won 4 out of 4 in the league so far.
The Young Magpies gave a good account of themselves against their illustrious opponents and took a deserved lead midway through the second half with a towering header from Ben Fulthorpe following an Adam Dicks free kick, and Dicks was also desperately unlucky when after lobbing the keeper his shot crashed against the crossbar and to safety. Peterborough grabbed an undeserved equaliser near the end which forced the game to penalties. The first 6 for both sides were successful Moulton’s converted by Harry Cowley, Munir Amour, Jamie Fuller Dan Anghel, Ben Fulthorpe, and Kyron Hamill. A crucial 7th success from Hugo Neve was followed by Magpies keeper Will Bewley flying to his right to palm away the visitors 7th effort and send his team deservedly into the next round.
