Moulton 1st Team commence their 2024/25 season on Saturday 27 July 2024 with a home fixture v Royston Town Res (previously Royston Town U23 last season). Having looked at past records, this is the earliest Moulton have started a league campaign, the season normally starting in August.

Royston ended mid table (10th) last season with 18 wins; 6 draws and 14 defeats. Moulton will be looking to reverse the results from last season which saw Royston bag all 6 pts with a 2-1 win at Brunting Road in Oct 2023 (we were 1-2 down at half-time after Royston goals in the 28th and 38th minutes; Nat Ansu getting a goal back after 43 minutes). It should be noted that our attendance at that match was the highest achieved for a league match (256). The away fixture in February saw us go down 2-3 with Royston scoring in the 40th; 58th and 90th minute; Moulton started the scoring through Lewis Isom (on his return debut for Moulton) and Aaron Dickens equalising in the 83rd minute.

Saturday's referee is Ben Bright who officiated a few fixtures last season involving Moulton - Div 1 Cup Final v Sileby Rangers (W) 4-2; v Ampthill at home (L) 3-4 and the home fixture v Raunds (W) 4-0.
