Moulton are back on their travels again this Saturday when they travel down to play Leighton Town Reserves. After their victory on Tuesday evening, the 1st team will be looking for another win to join the teams towards the top of the league.

Leighton Town Reserves, known as ’The Reds’, currently occupy 14th place in the league with 11 pts from their 11 games (3 wins; 2 draws; 6 defeats). Their last 4 league games has seen them pick up 1 pt, a draw at the beginning of September v Rothwell Corinthians away. Since then they have lost their last 3 home games v Wellingborough Whitworth (1-3); Stotfold Res (2-3) and last Saturday v Rothwell Corinthians (1-2). However, they did get a win in the Div 1 Cup back in September when they beat London Colney away (3-2). Their 3 wins to date all came in August v Long Buckby (H); Letchworth (H) and Raunds (A).

Last season ‘The Reds’ played under the Leighton Town Development banner where we lost to them in September at home 1-3 (Our scorer: Gideon Oppong) but salvaged a draw away 1-1 (Our Scorer: Nat Ansu). Last year ‘The Reds’ finished up in 8th place league position with 67 pts from their 38 games (Won 20; Drew 7; Lost 11).

Saturdays referee is John Wynne, another new name to the Moulton referee list.
