Moulton are back on their travels on Tuesday evening when they travel the relatively short distance across the county to Station Road to play Long Buckby. (KO 7:45pm).
‘The Bucks’ currently occupy 14th league position with 28 pts from their 22 games to date (8 wins; 4 draws; 10 defeats). Their 8 wins have been 2 at home v Letchworth and Raunds; 6 away v Langford, Letchworth, Cranfield, Stotfold, Royston, Wellingborough Whitworth. Their last 4 league games has seen a mixture of wins (2) and defeats (2). On Saturday they won away at Langford (3-2) and a home win at the beginning of February (3-1). Between these matches they had two defeats v Raunds away (0-2) and at home to Eaton Socon (1-2).
Since ‘The Bucks” were relegated from the United Counties League in season 22/23 (they were bottom), we have played them twice:
5 March 24 at home, won 3-2 goals from Ansu, Iaciofano and Isom
9 April 24 away, won 3-1 goals from Ansu, A Mensah, J Mensah.
Tuesday’s referee is scheduled as Matt Basterfield, another new name to officiate a Moulton match.
The return fixture v Long Buckby at home is scheduled for the last day of the season (19 April 2025).
