Having had a weekend break last Saturday, Moulton travel over to Eaton Socon on Saturday (KO 3:00).

Eaton Socon currently occupy 4th league position with 55 pts from their 26 games to date (2 points behind Moulton but having played a game extra), so its all to play for. They have won 17; drawn 4 and lost 5, those defeats being against Stotfold Res (A), Langford (A), Letchworth (A), Moulton (A) and Irchester (H). On Tuesday they were away at Wellingborough Whitworth, winning 2-1. Their previous 4 league games have seen them win against Long Buckby 2-1 (A) and Raunds Town 1-0 (H); draw against Irchester 2-2 (A) and Ampthill Town 1-1 (H). They also exited the Hunts County Cup last month going down 1-0 away at St Neots Town.

Our previous record against Eaton Socon has been good, apart from a 1-4 exit from the Division 1 cup back in Jan 23 (Scorer; Hall). In our first season in the Spartan League we won 5-0 both home (Jan 23) and away (Feb 23) (Scorers - Away: Okoye (3), Evans, O’Neill - Home Evans, Iaciofano, Said, Jordan, Melling). The following season it was 6-0 at home (Sept 23 - Scorers: Ansu (2), Camacho (2), Adams, Okoye) and away 1-0 (Oct 23 - Scorer: Iaciofano). This season we won 3-2 at home in Aug (Scorer: Musvaburi (3)).

Saturday’s referee is scheduled as Kovilen Sawmynaden, yet another new name officiating a Moulton Fixture.
